Information contained in the answer to a parliamentary question has revealed that the Department of Health’s passenger locator form was amended and the “the declaration on essential travel [is] no longer recorded” reports Breakingnews.ie.
Those travelling from high risk countries are also no longer asked the “essential travel” question on the passenger locator form.

Ireland remains in the highest lockdown level 5 and has the longest lockdown in the entire European Union.

The Department of Health said the Essential travel question was “removed from the form in February with the introduction of new regulations on mandatory quarantine”.
Ireland still does not have a mandatory quarantine in place.
