Investigation continues after man armed with knife arrested outside school on Dublin’s Parnell Street

A man carrying a knife has been taken into custody outside a Parnell Street school in Dublin. The individual, who is thought to be an Irish national, was taken into custody outside the school in Dublin city centre on suspicion of threatening and abusive behaviour, reports The Mirror.

The man had a blade, as the Gardai found out.

The startling event occurs after a mass stabbing outside a school on the same street last year that left a youngster critically injured.

In a statement gardai confirmed the incident: “Following an incident this morning in the Parnell Square area of Dublin City Centre where alleged threatening behaviour was undertaken, a male (30s) has been arrested for alleged offences under the Firearms and Offences Weapons Act,” reports The Mirror.
