Ireland is to donate €10m to the UN’s humanitarian fund.
In an announcement the Tánaiste Simon Coveney said the money will go towards helping vulnerable countries deal with the Covid-19 outbreak.
Speaking about the funding allocation Coveney said that although Ireland is currently dealing with the epidemic, there are countries without basic supplies whilst trying to deal with the outbreak.
It is understood that the vast majority will go towards helping vulnerable people in African countries.
