The much hated utility has spent the shocking amount of €19m in consultancy fees in its first year of existance, it has been revealed today, and the cash bonanza is set to continue as €86m has been put aside for the company to spend on even assorted consultants, contractors, and legal advice.
This amounts to an average of over 1.1m per month on such frivolities.
Anti Austerity Alliance TD Paul Murphy has slammed these figures as “offensive”. He also claims that Irish Water are still refusing to confirm how many people have actually paid their bills so far.
