Israel’s envoy to Ireland has issued a warning, stating that Israeli investors in Ireland’s IT services industry are concerned and that the crisis in bilateral relations stemming from Ireland’s proposal to recognise a Palestinian state sends the incorrect message about Ireland’s status as a tech powerhouse, reports RTE.

Speaking in Jerusalem, where she has been summoned back to Ireland for protest, Dana Erlich expressed her wish of going back, even if she believed the government was supporting the Palestinians against Israel.

Together with Spain and Norway, Ireland is scheduled to formally recognise its sovereignty tomorrow, reports RTE.

The United States and a few other European nations are in support of starting the conflict resolution talks anew.

“Ireland is not neutral or an honest broker in this case, because they are very supportive of the Palestinians. But what we are saying (is): This is not the time for such announcement on recognition,” Ms Erlich told Reuters in an interview, reports RTE.
