The leader of Sinn Fein was interviewed on Friday night’s Late Late Show describing her symptoms when she had covid-19.
Mary Lou McDonald said that she was sore everywhere and that she had no energy to move or talk when she had coronavirus. She was bed ridden for a number of days.
McDonald said that she has bad asthma and that her lungs wouldn’t be the best so when she got even worse after 10 days, her husband, who’s not a panicker, started to panic.
“My husband doesn’t panic, he’s the calmest person on earth, but at that moment he panicked”.
She said that wasn’t happy that Fine Gael and Fianna Fail wouldn’t talk to her or include her in any sort of government coalition, but there appears to be little she can do about it.
Fine Gael and Fianna Fail look likely to form a coalition government, possibly with the Green party for up to 5 years.
