Former vice-president Joe Biden has officially announced his intention to run for President of the United States in 2020.
The 76-year-old member of the Democrat Party spoke of his bid via a video released on Twitter.
Biden is perhaps one of the most recognizable faces in the current US politics landscape, but he was recently the object of some controversy after a number of women alleged ‘inappropriate behaviour’ on his part. Biden later released a statement to say that he’d ‘mindful of women’s personal space’ in the future.
Former US President Barack Obama had Biden as his running mate, easily defeating Mitt Romney’s bid for the White House back in 2012.
