A second drone strike has obliterated a vehicle as it made its way to Kabul Airport carrying explosives.
This is the second US-led strike in as many days, in response to the massacre at the airport on Thursday, after a suspected ISIS-K suicide bomber detonated a bomb among the crowd gathered at one of the airport’s gates.
The drone operation marks a second very successful day for the Biden Administration, following the President’s vow to ‘hunt down’ those responsible for the airport carnage.
Though many people are questioning the manner in which the US troops withdrawal was conducted, millions are also pointing out that it was the now disgraced former President Trump who initiated the process, and that it was the Trump Administration that conducted a backroom peace deal with the Taliban in February 2020 while sidelining the Afghan Government at the time.
One of the conditions of the ‘peace’ deal was the release of almost 5,000 Taliban fighters on orders personally endorsed by Trump himself. The consensus is now that Mr. Trump, who usually brags about making the best deals but usually fails every time, was thoroughly duped by the Taliban, whose ranks swelled to sizeable numbers following the ‘deal.’
