Man arrested in relation to 10-month-old baby left on roadside in Dublin after car stolen in driveway




Gardai have arrested a man aged in his 40s in relation to a horrendous encounter for very worried parents of a 10-month-old baby.

A 9-year-old child and a 10-month-old baby were inside a car that was stolen by a theif in Dublin.

According to Nova.ie, the horrific incident took place in Cabra when a thief saw an opportunity to steal the car when a couple went back into their house briefly, leaving the engine running.

Before the car sped off, the 9-year-old was able to jump out of the car but the 10-month-old baby was taken with the car.  Thankfully, the baby was found on the roadside not long after the car had been stolen and is thought not to have been injured.

Gardai have arrested a man aged in his 40s and have him currently detained in Mountjoy Garda station for further questioning in relation to the incident.
