A 50-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the death a young man following a hit and run incident in Dublin last week.
According to RTÉ News, the man a Nigerian national who has been living in Ireland since 2005, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
The charge comes after the victim named as Gerard Whyte sadly died in Beaumont Hospital, after being struck by a vehicle on the Swords Road at Collins Avenue junction in Whitehall, last Friday 31 May at approximately 12.20am.
RTÉ News say the accussed who has been released on bail, is scheduled to appear before Dublin District Court on Friday.
