Emergency services, including Gardaí, arrived at the scene in the Kennyswell Road area at approximately 11 am.
The man was pronounced dead at the location, reports RTE.
As a precautionary measure, the Gardaí have cordoned off the area for a technical examination.
The Health and Safety Authority is aware of the incident and has promptly initiated an investigation, reports RTE.
