A Texas man has sadly died after the vape pen he was using exploded in his face.
According to reports in the US, the man William Brown, 24, was tragically killed after his left internal carotid artery was cut after he was hit by shrapnel from the device.
In an emotional interview William’s grandmother revealed that her grandson was running errands when the pen exploded.
According to his grandmother, William was sitting in the car when the vape pen exploded.
It is believed that William had only stopped off at local vape store before it exploded.
However police investigating the incident say William didn’t purchase anything from the store before the incident.
Although it’s not known what caused the pen to explode, those investigating the incident say they believe the device’s battery may have been faulty.
