A massive rescue search operation is underway following reports of a woman falling overboard a ferry this morning.
The woman who was a passenger on the Isle Of Inishmore ferry, was reported missing at approximately 3am on Friday morning near Pembroke in the UK.
The ferry was travelling from the UK to Rosslare Harbour.
An Irish Coastguard spokesman at the Marine Rescue Coordination Centre in Dublin said: “We’re on a search on the trackline this morning, in the Pembroke channel in Milford Haven.
“We got the call earlier on. It’s a UK-coordinated operation as it’s on their side.
“That’s where the casualty was last seen at around 3am. The Isle Of Inishmore was outbound from Pembroke to Rosslare.
