Met Eireann is confirming a day of miserable weather conditions today, with widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast.
According to the national forecaster, Sunday will be a very wet day, with possible localized flooding across many areas.
Monday will bring a much welcome turn in the weather though, as sunny spells develop throughout the day, and temperatures rising to 21C.
The outlook is for mostly dry weather to remain until at least mid-week.
