The most recent extended range weather forecast for November and early December has been released by Met Eireann, reports The Mirror.
The four weeks from Monday, November 4, through Sunday, December 1, are covered by the forecast.
Met Eireann’s extended range predictions are all subject to the warning that the further into the future the forecast is made, the less reliable it will be.
“The extended range forecast, which includes the monthly and seasonal forecasts, can at times provide an insight into weather patterns in the months ahead. However, they should not be used for specific planning purposes as they have generally low skill compared with the 10-day forecast. This is because forecasts beyond one week become increasingly uncertain due to the chaotic nature of the atmosphere,” said Met Eireann.
Ireland has seen unusually pleasant weather in recent weeks, with highs of 17°C. Fortunately, the warmer weather is expected to last for another two weeks. However, in mid-November, there is a chance of more “unsettled” weather, so things might change.
Furthermore, according to the most recent data from Met Eireann, it is highly improbable that Ireland will have any snowfall throughout the month of November and the first few days of December, even if snow is predicted for other areas of Europe, including the UK, during the next few weeks, reports The Mirror.
Temperatures are expected to be above average for this time of year, according to the four-week extended range prediction.
