Met Eireann has just issued an urgent snow and ice warning for six counties.
The warning, which will remain in place until 6pm on Tuesday evening, covers counties Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow, Meath, and Monaghan.
The national forecaster says that some areas around these counties might see up to 5cm of snow.
