Met Eireann is this evening issuing an urgent warning about the possibility of a ‘Beast from the East’ type event over the coming weeks.
According to some weather models, a similar event to the one that blanketed Ireland in deep snow back in 2018 could happen again by March.
In the meantime, weather patterns will remain cold and unsettled, and the bad news is that the cold spell could last for at least two more weeks.
