Met Eireann is this evening warning of the ongoing possibility of flooding as wet conditions are expected to hit Ireland over the coming days.
According to the national forecaster, the last few days of 2021 are expected to bring plenty of rain, though temperatures are forecast to be rather mild for the time of year.
Overall, Met Eireann says that weather conditions will be very unsettled for the rest of this week and possibly into the start of 2022.
