Migrants illegally crossing channel to reach UK refuse help from French Coast Guard attempting to rescue them

A group of migrants illegally crossing the Channel to reach the the UK have refused and resisted an attempted rescue by the French coastguard.

The 15 Iranian men who were seeking refuge in UK, despite the fact there is no war in Iran, purposefully sabotaged their stolen French Loire class cutter and then refused help from French Coast Guard who tried to rescue them.

The British Border Force vessels sent to the scene to intercept them then had to rescue the migrant men.

A source told The Telegraph:
“The migrants inside were kicking off at the French patrol vessel, firing flares up and being a nuisance because they didn’t want to go back to France. By then they were in British territorial waters so had to be picked up by the British,”

Meanwhile, Kent Police have reported similar instances where migrants have sailed halfway across the Channel, only to call UK emergency services knowing the British vessels will rescue them and bring them to the UK once they are in the country’s territorial water.
