The Minister for Education Norma Foley has said she fully expects that schools will reopen as planned.
Speaking to RTE’s Today with Claire Byrne programme, Foley said that there will be stromg measures put in place in order for schools to remain controlled environments.
Although Minister Foley didn’t rule out children being vaccinated when they return to school, she did say that her Department will follow public health advice in regards to vaccines.
However she did state that all staff working at schools will be offered a Covid-19 vaccine by September.
