Many people are completely fed up of covid, the restrictions, the so-called guidance and everything that goes along with it, who (excuse the pun) can blame them.
It’s becoming a real drawn out saga after promises of the pandemic ending once everyone is vaccinated. Well, that appears to maybe be a misnomer.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the vaccine alone will not be able to lift the world out of the pandemic.
WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris told Times Radio that the problems with the pandemic continue and that the vaccine will not get us out of there.
“We really have to do other measures,” she said.
Ms Harris said people “have got to be serious about not crowding”.
“We have still got to be looking at wearing the masks, when you’re indoors particularly,” she said.
She added that the rest of the world needs to be vaccinated to stop the development of new variants of Covid.
“What’s really going to have an effect on transmission for all of us is making sure there is as little virus as possible circulating around the world,” Harris said.
