The east of the country woke up to see a lot of rain this morning, and the trend is going to continue over the weekend.
The band of rain will move towards the northwest throughout the day, and showers will turn heavy. It will be largely dry everywhere else for most of the afternoon and evening, but strong breezes will keep the temperature down to around 11C.
The weather will be very changeable over the weekend, with gusty winds, showers, and sunny spells. Sunday is looking like the best day, with long sunny periods all day long, and temperatures hovering around the midteens.
