More weather misery: National forecaster warns of the possibility of flooding due to heavy rainfall

Met Eireann has warned of weather misery over the next 48h, as heavy rainfall is likely to lead to localized flooding, particularly around coastal areas.

Today, Tuesday, will bring showery conditions mixed with bright spells and temperatures hovering at around 9-11C.

Wednesday is forecast to be a rather wet day, with very heavy rain across southern parts, which may lead to flooding incidents.

The only good news, relatively speaking, is that daytime temperatures will reach double digits at times, with highs of 11C possible, but nights will remain bitterly cold, with lows of 1C or 0C.
