New figures have shown that the number of rough sleepers on Dublin’s street’s has risen by 64% in the last months.
According to Dublin Live, figures obtained by Inner City Helping Homeless there is now a total of 148 people sleeping rough in the capital.
The figures which has led to fresh calls for more to be done, show that of the 148 people 122 of those are men and there a further 26 women sleeping rough.
It is believed that the increase in figures comes as there is less access to beds and there is increasing demand on services which are already overstretched.
