One person is confirmed dead, and several others injured, following a stabbing incident in Birmingham overnight.
No fewer than seven people sustained serious injuries during the attack, which took place around the city centre area between midnight and half-past two in the morning.
It is unclear who perpetrated the stabbings, but locals say that an event called ‘multicultural night’ was being held in a nearby area.
