One person is dead, and at least four others injured, after a crane collapsed on top of a house and a block of flats in London earlier today.
The 65-foot tall crane, sited on Gale Street, Bow, east London, collapsed at around 2.30pm today.
A woman was confirmed dead at the scene, and four other people sustained serious injuries. An elderly woman is believed to be still trapped in the wreckage.
The cause of the collapse is not immediately clear.
