Police are looking for a teenager who escaped from a Northampton psychiatric facility.

Johnny Brady, a 19-year-old who was serving a hospital term for aggravated assault in Derby, fled the St Andrew’s health facility at around 3.30pm on New Year’s Eve.

Brady is described as white, standing at 5ft 9 tall and slim in build. He was last seen in black Adidas sweatpants, a black hoodie, and black sneakers.

Northamptonshire Police have urged the public not to approach him under any circumstances.

A law enforcement spokesman said: “We would like to appeal directly to Johnny to reassure him that he is not in trouble but to please return to St Andrew’s or make yourself known to the police. We need to make sure you are safe and receive the care that you need,” reports Sky.

It comes after convicted sex offender Nicholas Courtney, 43, also fled the hospital, although his escape is not believed to be linked to Brady’s.

He was located and returned to the facility last Sunday.

According to Sky, a police spokesman said: “We’re pleased to confirm that missing patient Nicholas Courtney has been located safe and returned to St Andrew’s Healthcare facility in Northampton. Thank you for sharing our appeal, your support is appreciated as always.”
