Possibility of 30C temperatures next week, so let’s keep hoping

heatwave

The British Met Office has predicted highs of up to 30C in the UK next week, and there is a chance we could see the same weather around Irish shores.

So while Britain will be basking in proper summer temperatures next week, for us it all depends whether or not approaching Atlantic weather fronts make landfall on our island. High pressure may keep them away and thus allow hot air to be predominant, raising the temperatures up to high 20s or early 30s. But if these fronts do break through, next week could be a washout altogether.

So the weather gods are playing their game, and all we can do is wait it out and hope we get some decent summer weather during the week.
