
Police in France have sadly confirmed that a pregnant woman has died following a dog attack in the North of the country.
According to French media, the 29-year-old woman was found dead in a forest in Villers-Cotterets, which is located approximately 90km northeast of Paris, on Saturday.
It is believed that the woman who was walking her own dog was attacked by a group of dogs who were hunting for deer.
Police investigating the incident say the woman sustained a number of injuries to her head, upper and lower limbs which are consistent with that of dog bites.
Officers investigating the incident say a manslaughter case has now been launched, and the woman sustained a number bite wounds post-mortem.
It is understood the woman was tragically found dead by her husband who she called to inform him about the dogs who approached her.
