Vice President Kamala Harris will “probably” debate Donald Trump, but he “can also make a case for not doing it,” according to the president, reports Breaking News.

The former president was asked repeatedly in an appearance with Fox News Channel if he would agree to debate Ms. Harris. He eventually gave a less resolute response than he had in the previous several days.

After months of implying that his opponent was not psychologically prepared for the encounter, let alone the president, the Republican contender had been anxious to take on President Joe Biden when he was the Democratic nominee.

However, Mr. Trump has been contesting the conditions of the initial debate he consented to, arguing that the September 10 debate on ABC News should be moved to a different network and labelling ABC “fake news,” since Mr. Biden withdrew from the race and Ms. Harris appeared to be the front-runner for the Democratic nomination for president, reports Breaking News.

When asked last week if he would guarantee to debate the vice president at least once, Mr. Trump responded that there was a duty to engage in argument over the phone with reporters.

During the Monday interview, Mr. Trump was questioned by Fox anchor Laura Ingraham many times about his willingness to participate in a debate.

“I want to do a debate. But I also can say this. Everybody knows who I am. And now people know who she is,” Mr Trump said, eventually adding: “The answer is yes, I’ll probably end up debating. The answer is yes, but I can also make a case for not doing it,” reports Breaking News.
