The boss of the HSE has said that the virus is now rampant around the country and that people need to do a lot more to get the situation under control.
Paul Reid said that covid is now prolific in most communities and nobody wants to be the next hospitalised case.
He said that an immediate reduction by all of us of risk activities is needed to turn this around.
People have been doing all they can since March 2020 but it would appear that NPHET, the government and the HSE expect even more.
