The ringleader of a gang of Chicago thugs who kidnapped and live streamed the torture of a mentally disabled 18-year-old has been sentenced to eight years in prison in Cook County Court this week according The Chicago Sun Times.
Jordan Hill (20) and three others, two women and one other man, kidnapped the vulnerable teenager, who had been a former classmate, in early January 2017 in a racially motivated attack and held him captive for days while his distraught mother frantically searched for her son.
The gang targeted the young man because he was white and during the torture, which including binding, beating and cutting as well as making their victim drink toilet water, they are repeatedly heard screaming “F**k Trump” and F**k White people” during the 30-minute video according to CNN.
CNN also reports that the four faced a charge of committing a hate crime as well as kidnapping and assault.
The Chicago Sun Times reports that the gang sent videos of the torture to the boy’s mother demanding a ransom of $300, they released their victim after neighbours called the police about the noise and he was found wandering by police.
Strangely the harrowing story has garnered little national or international media attention.
