RTÉ have confirmed that they will avail of the Government’s Temporary Wage Subsidy scheme.
In an announcement the national broadcaster confirmed that it will avail of the scheme due to ongoing loss in revenue caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
RTÉ say they are expected to lose between 25 to 35% in commercial and TV licence revenue this year due to the Pandemic.
Although the national broadcaster says it accepts the potential loss, they also stated that a number of changes will be made including pay cuts and the end of non essential recruitment.
