RTE secures rights to televise Meghan and Harry interview on Monday night

The national broadcaster, RTE has secured the rights to broadcast what’s being called “the interview of the decade” of Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry.

The couple are said to have been paid a multimillion dollar payment for the interview, hosted by none other than Oprah Winfrey.

The interview will start with Meghan Markle being interviewed on her own followed a half an hour in by her husband Prince Harry.

It’s one of the most anticipated tv interviews in living memory, and well, tonight’s the night where Irish, UK and basically everyone outside of the US will get to see what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have to say for themselves.

Host Oprah Winfrey has been releasing excerpts of the interview over the past week showing Meghan Markle calling the Royal Family “the firm”, along with saying she now has “freedom” to do what she wants again since the couple left Royal duties.

The interview will be broadcast on RTE 1 at 9:30pm with a massive viewership expected.
