The Dublin Bay south by-election will take place this Thursday, 8th July to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Fine Gaelâs former Housing minister Eoghan Murphy.
However, a row between AontĂș and RTE has been developing over the partyâs exclusion from âall of the bye-election broadcast debatesâ according to Aontuâs official website.
Having received over 50,000 votes in the last General election, beating People before Profit, AontĂș Dublin Bay South candidate said;
âRTE is the National Broadcaster. It has a particular responsibility to to ensure that election coverage is fair, democratic, inclusive and unbiased. However RTE has decided to exclude only one DĂĄil political party out of the eight DĂĄil parties contesting this bye-election. This is an incredibly arbitrary decisionâ.
