The outspoken Ryanair boss, Michael O’Leary, has hit out at claims that a third terminal at Dublin Airport would cost somewhere in the region of €320m. He said Ryanair could carry out the construction for €200m.
Mr. O’Leary also said that while he agrees that the airport needs a new terminal, he believes that the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) should not be involved.
He added that if construction does go ahead at the price quoted by the DAA, it may lead to an increase of passenger charges, which are currently capped at €9.87 per passenger.
