According to information sent to the Seanad, three gay males were “hunted” by a group of men carrying knives yesterday night in Phoenix Park, reports RTE.
Senator Barry Ward of Fine Gael revealed that he had been contacted by one of the victims over the purported incident.
Senator Ward reported in the chamber that “six men with knives” were pursuing the three men, reports RTE.
As he put it, “they were told there was no CCTV and they could not identify the crowd” when the victims called the gardaí.
Senator “that is not good enough” and demanded garda presence in the park, reports RTE.
