Shocking: Gardaí launch investigation after four tourists were attacked by youths in Dublin City centre




Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after four tourists were disgracefully attacked in Dublin city centre earlier this month.

Gardaí say the four foreign nationals were assaulted by a group of youths at approximately 11.40pm on Friday, 9 September on O’Connell Street. It is believed one of the victims suffered a serious eye injury during the attack.

Gardaí believe the sickening attack occurred after one victim was robbed in Temple Bar at around 9.30pm that night. It is then thought the victims friends later came across the gang that had stolen the person’s belongings and managed to take it back from them in Crown Alley in Temple Bar.

The tourist’s where then followed by the gang of youths to the north side of the city were they were then assaulted by the gang at Upper O’Connell Street.
