SpaceX has won a $2.9bn contract to build a spacecraft intended to carry humans to the Moon.
NASA picked Elon Musk’s Starship project among other high-profile names such as Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin and defence contractor Dynetics Inc.
The Starship program has so far faced substantial setbacks, as four previous attempts to launch vehicle prototypes have all ended in fiery explosions.
