A device has been found near the DART line between Howth Junction and Kilbarrack stations.
The device was found just before lunchtime, at Redmond’s Court just off the main Kilbarrack road.
An Army bomb squad is at the scene currently according to the Defence Forces, and the area has been sealed off for examination.
The device was discovered by a group of workmen, who immediately raised the alarm and contacted the authorities.
