After killing young Brianna Ghey in England, a boy and a girl were given life sentences with minimum terms of 22 and 20 years before being eligible for parole, reports Breaking News.
In a “frenzied and ferocious” knife attack, 16-year-olds Eddie Ratcliffe and Scarlett Jenkinson followed out the “disturbing” plan to kill 16-year-old Brianna.
The court described the murder as “brutal” and “sadistic,” adding that Brianna’s transgender identification served as a secondary motivation, reports Breaking News.
They were both 15 years old at the time, and this is their first public appearance.
On Friday, a senior court lifted a gag order that prevented the media from identifying them, and they were sentenced, reports Breaking News.
