In a move that is likely to frustrate and infuriate Irish expats living across the UK, grocery giant Tesco has confirmed that it will soon cease stocking Irish Foods in all of its UK branches.
It is understood that Tesco has already begun phasing out the items, and will stop stocking them altogether at the end of July.
The Irish section in UK Tesco outlets had been present since 2011, and stocked Irish staples such as Tayto, Club Orange, Barry’s Tea and Jacobs biscuits.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Tesco said: “We review our ranges to deliver the best possible shopping experience for customers. These changes will ensure we continue to offer great availability on the most popular Irish products at affordable prices.”
