The creepy crawly Invasion: Irish homes set to be plagued with the false widow spiders this winter

The Irish public will be set for an invasion this winter as the false widow spider will be making there way into homes across the country experts have warned.

Although the spiders are not considered to cause serious harm or death,  their poisonous venom can cause humans to have an adverse toxic reaction which can result in hospitalisation in extreme cases.

The spiders which are rare sight in Ireland have apparently made there way into Irish homes this winter after slightly warmer weather conditions this summer and autumn failed to extinguish their presence in Ireland.

Experts say the harmful spiders will actively make their nests in homes across the country in an effort to avoid the extremely cold conditions.

They are advising homeowners to block up any existing exterior holes and keep their windows shut in order to stop the pesky spiders from entering their home.

The reddish spiders who are a distant cousin to the black widow spider can cause humans to experience a number of health problems if they are bitten, with the most common symptoms being an iratating rash along with the swelling of the limbs.
