Chocolate and confectionery retailer Thorntons has announced the permanent closure of all its brick and mortar outlets, after more than a century trading.
The company, which began trading in 1911, blamed the impact of Covid-19 as the main driver of this move. Over 600 jobs are impacted by the decision.
The brand itself will remain, as management moves to a more online-focus business model.
