According to various reports three people who were arrested in connection with alleged animal cruelty on farm in Co Carlow have been released without charge.
Gardaí arrested a man and two women yesterday afternoon after a search of the premises found a large number of animals being badly mistreated and living in horrifying conditions. It is understood that a total of 351 dogs and 11 horses were removed from the premises and placed in to the care of the ISPCA.
Gardaí say they are currently still conducting a full scale investigation into the disgraceful mistreatment of the animals and will prepare a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions
