The plot revolving around the ticket touting scandal deepens tonight, with the revelation that the Olympic Committee of Ireland’s Sports Director Martin Burke has been named as a new suspect in the investigation.
It is believed that a computer hard drive seized by Brazilian authorities was used to incriminate Mr. Burke.
So far, disgraced ex-OCI boss Pat Hickey and THG boss Kevin Mallon are facing charges of ticket touting and larceny, among others. If convicted, they could face up to 10 years in a Brazilian jail.
This latest twist in the sorry saga of the ticket touting scandal may yet bring more charges and shame onto the organization.
