TikTok announces plans to establish its first European data centre in Ireland




Video app TikTok has announced plans to establish its first European data centre in Ireland.

It remains unclear what the actual location is, but the company confirmed an investment of €420 million in the new facility, to be built in the near future.

TikTok, owned by Chinese company ByteDance, is currently facing an outright ban in the United States.
