A man has died in a car crash overnight. The accident happened on the N2 road at 1:30am near Hunterstown between Ardee and Collon.
It’s understood that the car hit a tree near a bridge. The one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was taken to Our Lady Our Lourdes hospital in Drogheda.
The road is still closed. Gardai are asking for witnesses to contact them on 041 6871130, the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
