A vehicle struck a teenage boy last night, and the driver failed to remain at the scene. The teenager was rushed to hospital, but sadly died from his injuries a short time later.
The incident happened on the old N32 road in Coolock in Dublin last night, at around 9.35pm.
Gardai located the vehicle close to the scene, and arrested a man in his 20s. He’s currently been detained at Finglas Garda Station.
