A 20-year-old woman has sadly passed away in hospital after getting into difficulties whilst kayaking over the weekend.
According to RTÉ News, the woman sadly passed away at University Hospital Tralee.
It is believed that the woman was taken to hospital in critical condition after she and a man got into difficulties whilst kayaking on a river near Glencar.
The pair got into difficulties when their kayak overturned near Caragh Lake.
Although the man was also taken to hospital it is believed that he is in stable condition.
